Will women ever play in the NHL?

There was a women goal tender who played in the Tampa Bay Lightning system for a number of years and even played a couple preseason games. Regarding a women playing a regular season game, I dont think it will happen soon. The NWHL (National Wome Hockey Leauge) just dropped the puck for the first time as a womens professional hockey leauge with 4 teams in New England. So I believe that will attract most womem hockey players.
