Authentics:
basically what the players wear. They are made out of heavy duty material,
have extra room for pads, have fight straps, and are as close as you can get
to what the players wear outside a game worn or team issued jersey. These
come in numbered sizes. In Reebok, they will be size 46, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58,
and goalie cuts. As far as sizing goes, a 46 would be a small and go up from
there. Most players wear a 58 with pads so as you could imagine, they are
huge. A L would be around a 52 or 54, an XL would be a 54 or 56. It'd be best
to check out a size chart and compare to a shirt you have. Authentic jerseys
can be made by any manufacturer including CCM, KOHO, Pro Player, Starter,
etc. However, there will be slight differences in the way they fit between
them. For whatever reason, Reebok Edge jerseys, the ones the players
currently wear, have never come in a size 48 but all of the other mentioned
manufacturers have made 48s and should be able to be found on eBay. They
would fit like a bigger Small or smaller Medium.
Replica jerseys:
are made to look just like what the players wear but are made out of cheaper,
lighter materials, fit a little slimmer since they're not meant to be worn
with equipment, do not have fight straps or heavy duty stitching, and come in
lettered sizes. As before, all of the jerseys manufacturers have also made
replica jerseys. Reebok calls their replicas "Premier" jerseys.
